Benefit Rate Check

Independent rate reviews for benefits teams.

Why now

Most employers renew their health plan the same way every year: a quote arrives, it's higher than last year, and there is no practical way to check it. Meanwhile, the same care can be priced very differently at different in-network facilities in the same city. That spread sits inside every renewal — it just isn't visible at signing time.

How we think about the work

About

Benefit Rate Check exists because employer health plans got expensive faster than they got transparent. The data to understand plan pricing is public now, but it arrives as enormous machine-readable files nobody has time to read. We read them. Then we put what matters on one page for the people who have to sign the renewal.

Our approach

  1. We start from public data. Hospitals and insurers publish their negotiated rates under federal price-transparency rules; that's our raw material.
  2. We map it to your markets. A list of the zip codes where your people live is enough to build a picture of the prices your plan is exposed to.
  3. We keep it readable. The output is a short benchmark readout, not a data dump — written for the renewal conversation.
Get in touch. We keep a small team and a short inbox — replying to any note from us gets you a same-week conversation.
